Shipping policy

At Mini India Grocery, we are committed to delivering your favorite Indian groceries promptly and efficiently across Europe. Please review our shipping and delivery guidelines below.

Order Processing

    • Orders placed before 12:00 on a regular business day will be dispatched the same day (except weekends or holidays).
    • Orders placed after 12:00 on Friday, or anytime on Saturday or Sunday, will be processed the following Monday.
    • We do not process or ship orders on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) or on national public holidays in the Netherlands.
    • If a public holiday falls in the Netherlands, affected orders will be dispatched on the next business day.
    • Once dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email from contact@miniindiagrocery.com with tracking details.

    Note: “Dispatched” means the package is handed over to our courier. Actual delivery time depends on the destination and the courier schedule.

    Delivery Timeframes

    • Local Delivery (Hilversum): 0-1 business days after dispatch (Order Before 12:00 to get Same-Day Delivery* in Hilversum).
    • Netherlands: 1-2 business days after dispatch (Order Before 12:00 (Mon to Fri) to get Next-Day Delivery* in the Netherlands on best-efforts basis)
    • Belgium: 1-2 business days after dispatch.
    • Germany & Luxembourg: 2-3 business days after dispatch.
    • Spain, Italy & France: 3-4 business days after dispatch.
    • Other European Countries: Delivery times may vary; estimated timeframes will be provided at checkout.

    *All deliveries are handled on a best-efforts basis, meaning we aim to meet the estimated delivery times. In most cases (around 80–90%), couriers deliver on schedule. However, delivery times may vary depending on courier operations, regional factors, or external delays, and exact delivery dates cannot be guaranteed.

    Store Pickup (Free)

    You’ll receive a notification when your order is ready for pickup. You can collect your order during store hours.

    Delays & Exceptions

    • Deliveries may be delayed due to courier workload, weather, or peak-season traffic.
    • While we use reliable shipping partners, Mini India Grocery is not responsible for delays beyond our control.
    • “Next-day delivery” applies only to Netherlands orders placed before 12 PM and is fulfilled on a best-efforts basis, not a guarantee.

    For orders exceeding 23 kg, please contact our customer service for a customized shipping quote. Additional Delivery Chagres may apply to deliveries above 23 kg.

    *Free Delivery and Weight Limit Per Parcel

    • We provide free delivery based on the location, cart value, and weight of the package.
    • Each free delivery includes one parcel up to 23 kg.
    • If your order exceeds 23 kg, an additional standard shipping cost will apply for each additional parcel.
    • For Hilversum deliveries, weight is not restricted.

    For Examples

    • If you spend €29 and your order weighs 23 kg, you’ll get free delivery.
    • If you spend €60 and your order weighs 35 kg, the first 28 kg are free, and a shipping fee will apply for the additional 13 kg (separate parcel).
    • If the value of the second parcel is €29 or more → Free delivery! Otherwise, standard shipping fee applies.

    Frozen Products - Netherlands Only (Limited Areas)

    Frozen products require controlled temperature handling and therefore have special delivery conditions. Frozen items are available for delivery within the Netherlands only.

    Limited Delivery Areas
    Frozen deliveries are available only in selected postal code areas within the Netherlands where we can ensure safe and timely delivery. Frozen orders are dispatched Monday to Thursday only. We do not ship frozen items on Fridays, weekends, or before public holidays to avoid weekend transit delays.

    Temperature & Liability
    Frozen products are packed with insulated materials to maintain temperature during transit. Customers must be available to receive the delivery on the first attempt. If the courier is unable to deliver on the first attempt and the package is delayed, Mini India Grocery is not responsible for temperature-related quality issues.

    Mixed Orders (Frozen + Non-Frozen)
    If your order contains frozen and non-frozen items:

    • The entire order may be restricted to Netherlands delivery only
    • We may split the shipment depending on delivery area and availability

    Store Pickup
    Frozen products are available for free store pickup in Hilversum during opening hours.

    Order Adjustments

    • If your order is updated (e.g. an item is out of stock, removed, or changed) and falls below the free delivery threshold, shipping charges will apply.
    • You may add more items to your order to maintain free delivery eligibility, or choose to cancel your order.

    Delivery Partners

    We partner with trusted carriers, including PostNL, DPD, and DHL, to ensure your orders arrive quickly and safely. Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking link via email so you can follow your delivery’s progress.

    Order Tracking

    Upon dispatch, a tracking number will be provided via email, allowing you to monitor your order's journey in real-time.

    Delivery Attempts

    Our courier partners will attempt delivery to the provided address. If you are unavailable during the delivery attempt, they may leave a notice with instructions for rescheduling or collecting your package from a local depot. Please ensure that your delivery address and contact information are accurate to avoid delays.

    International Shipping

    Currently, we ship to select European countries as listed above. For shipping inquiries to other destinations, please reach out to our customer service team.

    Customs, Duties, and Taxes

    For orders delivered outside the EU, additional customs fees, duties, or taxes may apply. These charges are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend checking with your local customs office for detailed information.

    Damaged or Lost Items

    We take great care in packaging your orders. However, if your order arrives damaged or is lost in transit, please contact us within 72 hours at support@miniindiagrocery.com with your order number and relevant details. We will work diligently to resolve the issue.
